Woman choked to death

A former Boise postal worker is charged with murdering his wife. The coroner says she was choked to death yesterday. Boise Police found the body of 58 year old Beba Macomb after receiving a call that something was wrong at the couple's Boise home. They live on Warren Street near Boise Avenue.
It's as quiet as any other Boise neighborhood.
Dan Garlock was going about his business Thursday when it became quite a different scene.
I was working out in the garage, and all of a sudden I didn't hear anything but sirens, could tell they were very close, so we all gathered out here,” said Dan Garlock, a neighbor.
Thursday night it was a crime scene filled with police and investigators.
An autopsy released Friday by the Ada county coroner shows that 58 year old Beba Macomb died of asphyxiation.
“Like I say, we don't know anything about them other than one of them works at the post office and one of them works at Micron,” said Garlock.
Friday, police charged her husband 62-year-old Bruce Macomb with first-degree murder. Police say by the time they found her, she had already been dead for 12 hours.
“We saw part of the family out in the street we saw this grey haired guy we didn't know his name,” said Garlock.
Police did not arrest Macomb at the scene, but instead took him to the hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
Neighbors meanwhile still hardly know anything about the people that lived at 1620 Warren Street.
"These are mystery people. We haven't seen or talked to these people in forever. When they get home they go in their house and they’ve got their curtains drawn. Nobody sees them and they go to work the next day; and it’s been that way for 20 years,” said Garlock.
