TRAFFIC ALERT: Weekend Closure at Meridian and Pine Begins Tonight
A closure of the Meridian Road and Pine Avenue intersection will begin tonight, February 22, at approximately 7 p.m. and will be in place through the weekend.
During the closure the contractor will cross the intersection with sewer and storm drain pipe, as part of the extensive Meridian Public Works Sewer and Water project being done in conjunction with the Meridian Split Corridor Phase 2 project. The work will require a deep trench that will span the intersection.
Crews will re-open the Meridian and Pine intersection in the early morning hours of Monday, February 25.
During the weekend closure, vehicles traveling east or west may take Franklin Road or Cherry Lane/Fairview Avenue as alternate routes.
