New Boise Airport kiosk offers travelers on-the-go entertainment options
Boise-area movie and television lovers now have a convenient way to rent and buy their entertainment while traveling. Digiboo, a digital retail entertainment download service, has opened a kiosk in the Boise Airport to allow travelers to rent movies and TV shows "on the run."
The company has installed four interactive touchscreen kiosks in the Boise Airport terminal.
“We strive to provide the best overall experience for travelers at Boise Airport,” said Rebecca Hupp, Boise Airport Director. “Digiboo’s kiosks help us expand our shopping and entertainment offerings and bring more enjoyment to airport guests.”
Movie fans can choose from more than 800 movies, including new releases such as ”Looper,” “Hope Springs,” “Trouble with the Curve,” “The Amazing Spiderman” and “Searching for Sugar Man,” as well as popular catalog titles. TV lovers can enjoy their favorite episodes of “Fringe,” “Revolution,” “Big Bang Theory,” “Weeds” and “Mad Men,” among others.
A Digiboo spokesman said the movies and TV programs can be downloaded in as little as 30 seconds to a thumb drive, or just minutes directly to a device via Wi-Fi and played back on any iPhone®, iPad®, iPad mini® or iPod touch® or any Android or Windows-enabled PC, laptop, tablet or phone. Anyone, from business travelers waiting for flights to families on vacation, can download the programs. And since the service is digital-only, with no physical discs, new releases are always in stock.
“Digiboo’s mission is to deliver the simplest, easiest and most convenient way for movie-lovers to get the entertainment they love while on-the-go,” said Richard Cohen, Digiboo CEO. “We chose to launch our product at the Boise Airport because Boise has a large population of ‘early-adopters,’ movie enthusiasts and business travelers.”
New movies and shows are added to the kiosk every week as titles become available. Catalog titles have been hand-selected to provide something for everyone across genres. Rentals can be viewed on one device at a time, while customers who purchase movies can watch them on up to five devices. The company has partnered with several studios, including Lions Gate, Paramount, Sony, Anchor Bay Entertainment and Warner Bros., as well as FSH, Smarte Carte, PTS and Gateway Newstands, to provide the highest quality service to travelers
