Boise PD: Additional assault charge for road rage suspect
Boise Police have charged the suspect in a possible road age incident with an additional charge of felony aggravated assault. The assault charge stems from evidence the suspect fired a shot into the maroon car after he initially rear-ended at Vista & Canal Monday night at approximately 8:10 p.m. The shot went through a driver's side window into the maroon vehicle but did not injure the driver.
The suspect vehicle was then seen driving at a high rate of speed south on Vista toward I-84. The victim continued driving also toward the freeway, west to the Franklin Road exit, where he exited, drove to his place of employment on Franklin Rd. The victim from Vista & Canal then called 911 to report that incident.
This is all the information that is available for release at this time and the investigation continues. The suspect, Shawn N. Disher, is due to be arraigned on this and other charges later today.
