Boy dies after run over by father's pickup truck
WEISER, Idaho (AP) -- A 4-year-old boy was killed when his father's pickup truck backed over him as he tried to get into the bed of the pickup just south of Weiser in western Idaho.
Washington County Sheriff Matt Thomas says the man called 911 just after 5:40 p.m. Tuesday to report he'd run over his son with his truck. Paramedics pronounced the boy dead at the scene. The boy's name has not been released.
The sheriff's office and Idaho State Police continue to investigate. Officials say alcohol was not a factor.
