Boise man indicted in federal court on sex charges
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- A Boise man has been indicted in federal court on 23 charges after prosecutors say he sexually abused a toddler and posted a Craigslist advertisement offering the 3-year-old for sex.
Jason Lloyd Schaber was originally charged in Idaho state court with lewd conduct and sexual exploitation of a child, but those charges were dropped Thursday after a federal grand jury indicted the 39-year-old on a charge of using interstate commerce for sex trafficking of a child, four counts of producing child pornography, 16 counts of distributing child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography.
The Idaho Statesman reports Schaber has not yet entered a plea to the federal charges. He pleaded not guilty to the state charges before they were dropped.
