Twin Falls Police, U.S. Marshals searching for suspect in retail fraud scheme
The Twin Falls Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service are looking for information regarding Jeremy Douglas Blevins, 29, on suspicion of defrauding retailers by paying for items with insufficient funds -- then pawning the items for cash.
Blevins was recently seen in Twin Falls, where he reportedly has family. Investigators say he has targeted retailers in Twin Falls and Boise and is suspected to have attempted to defraud other businesses outside the State of Idaho.
Blevins has been charged in U.S. District Court with violating conditions of supervised release, with original charges of failing to appear in court, and knowingly using checks with insufficient funds.
Other charges may be pending, police say.
They also say he may have changed his appearance. The picture provided by police shows Blevins as lean with reddish hair. Police say he was last seen with black hair and weighing approximately 280 pounds.
Anyone with information about Blevins is encouraged to call the Twin Falls Police Department at 208- 735-4357 or the U.S. Marshal’s Boise Office at 208-334-1299.
