Police make “the largest single marijuana bust in Soda Springs history”
A man is in the Caribou County Jail after being arrested in connection with what police are calling “the largest single marijuana bust in Soda Springs history.”
According to Soda Springs Police Chief Joe Rice, an officer pulled over Brian Eng, 58, during a routine traffic stop on February 8th.
During that time, the officer reportedly smelled the distinct odor of marijuana coming from Eng’s vehicle.
A search revealed what police describe as “two large duffel bags” that contained several packaged one-pound bags of marijuana. Investigators said, in all, the bags contained about 41 pounds of marijuana, with an approximate street value of $100,000.
Police also recovered an undisclosed amount of money.
Eng was charged with felony drug trafficking, and booked into the Caribou County Jail.
