Las Vegas man indicted for stealing cash machines
A 57-year-old Las Vegas man has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Idaho on two felony counts of bank larceny for allegedly stealing three ATMs and more than $56,000 in cash.
Federal prosecutors announced the indictment Wednesday against Clarence Edward Lancaster, who is accused of taking the cash machines from two separate college campuses in Idaho.
Investigators say Lancaster snatched one machine from the College of Southern Idaho campus last July, making off with more than $39,000.
Then in October, prosecutors say Lancaster stole two more ATMs from the Idaho State University campus in Pocatello. Those machines contained $9,000 in cash.
Lancaster faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted of the crimes.
