Former top Ada County admin sues over termination
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- The former top administrator for Ada County has filed a $1.5 million wrongful termination lawsuit against the county.
Former county administration director Rich Wright filed the lawsuit Tuesday, contending that he was let go because he ordered an investigation into allegations that a county manager was harassing employees.
Wright says the investigation resulted in a finding that harassment had occurred, and the employee was given the option of resigning or being fired.
Wright says in his lawsuit that the employee is a close friend of newly elected Commissioners Dave Case and Jim Tibbs, and Wright was terminated the day after Case and Tibbs were sworn into office.
Commission Chief of Staff Larry Maneely said the commissioners had not yet seen the complaint and couldn't comment.
