Nicole Lee Kirtley dropped her head in her hands and sobbed after a judge set her bail at Five-million -dollars. She's charged with second degree murder for shooting George Richardson Jr. at his Nampa home. Police won't say how or why she shot him only that the two were last seen leaving a Nampa bar together.
“We had witnesses who confirmed the two of them were together and her driving his jeep at that time,” said Canyon County Sheriff Kieran Donahue.

A witness says, while they were still at the bar, Kirtley took Richardson’s keys from him and drove him home. Another witness claims to have seen Kirtley leave that same home later in the morning of February 7th
“We have a witness that saw a woman matching her description around 7:30 am leaving his residence on South Power Line Road,” said Sheriff Donahue.

Police say Kirtley left in Richardson’s red Jeep Wrangler that morning. Much later, someone walking along the river near Melba spotted it.
“The jeep was found by the Snake River, partially submerged as if the person was trying to get rid of the jeep, that's what the evidence at the scene showed us,” said Sheriff Donahue.

Police didn't have to go far to find her Kirtley was already in the Canyon County jail on a burglary charge.

Even though she refused to answer police questions, a probable cause report shows she talked to a male inmate during processing and reportedly told him police questioned her about committing a homicide, and she told him, she in fact did it, because she wasn't going to be raped again and did not feel bad about killing the person. Her bail is set at 5 million dollars and she's scheduled in court again at the end of the month.
