Allegiant now offering non-stop trips from Boise to Hawaii, starting at $140
Starting on Sunday, the Boise Airport is offering flights straight to a tropical paradise. Allegiant Travel Company, known for its affordable airfare, hopes to entice those dreaming of warm, sandy beaches and palm trees in Hawaii.
On Sunday morning, the airline offered its first non-stop flight from Boise to Honolulu with hula dancers, breakfast and discount prices.
"The low fare of $140 is one-way, and you can book tickets on Allegiant.com,” said Jessica Wheeler, Allegiant Spokeswoman.
With six islands and mostly warm weather year round, Boise Airport leaders said the demand for Hawaii is growing, and it's where people want to go.
"The thing that drives the service is whether people are using the flights. The more people fly, more service will be added," said Rebecca Hupp, Boise Airport Director.
These new flights will operate once a week, carrying more than 200 passengers, between Boise and the Honolulu International Airport.
The promotional $140 fares are one-way and not available on all flights. The deadline is February 16th to purchase those tickets for that price, and the tickets have to be used for travel by August 15th.
