Idaho man sentenced to 37 years in attack on property
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- A 23-year-old western Idaho man has been sentenced to 37 years in prison after being convicted of using Molotov cocktails to set fire to a warehouse and two government vehicles.
U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill also ordered Donovan James Polen to pay $162,124 to Western Core Door Inc. and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
A jury convicted Bolen in October of carrying and using explosive devices in relation to a federal crime of violence.
He was also found guilty of conspiracy to maliciously use explosive materials, conspiracy to maliciously damage federal property and theft.
Prosecutors say he set the 2011 fires to divert police attention and then stole 12 firearms from a Fruitland pawnshop.
His alleged accomplice, David Vonbargen, is scheduled for a competency hearing in March.
