Twin Falls man gets 15 years for home invasion
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) -- A 20-year-old Twin Falls man will serve at least 15 years in prison for his role in a home invasion in August.
Dylan Contreras was sentenced Monday on one charge each of robbery and second-degree kidnapping.
Twenty-year-old Luis Sotelo, who was also arrested and charged in connection to the incident, was sentenced Monday to up to 22 years in prison.
Contreras' attorney said his client's age and drug use are partially to blame for the robbery of Twin Falls residents Leo and Judy Ray. Contreras, Sotelo and two other men were accused of holding both Rays at gunpoint before stealing laptops, guns and legal documents from the couple.
