Police have arrested an Ontario man who they say is a witness to a fatal stabbing.

According to Malheur County Sheriff Brian Wolfe, deputies from the Payette County Sheriff’s Department arrested Daniel Wilson, 26, about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday after a short high-speed pursuit.

Wilson reportedly fled after police spotted him at a house where they believed the suspect in the stabbing was staying.

The chase resulted in Wilson crashing his vehicle into a fence near Powerline and Douglas Roads.

Wilson was not injured in the accident. He was later booked into the Malheur County Jail.

Wilson has several warrants for his arrest from Canyon County, Malheur County and Payertte County, Wolfe said.

Investigators are still looking for Ketra Siuce-Hale, 23, from Ontario, Oregon. They consider her a prime suspect in the killing.

Wolfe says investigators were called to a home in the 5000 block of Hyline Road in Ontario about 12:30 Monday morning.

Dispatchers had received a call of a man -– later identified as Mark Rodgers, 26, of Payette -– who had been stabbed at the home. Investigators have not said how many times the victim was stabbed.

Wolfe said the man was transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, where he later died.

“We believe Siuce-Hale and Wilson were acquaintances,” Wolfe said.

Siuce Hale and the victim were believed to be boyfriend and girlfriend.

Siuce-Hale is considered armed and dangerous.
