Inmate in Madison County jail dies of apparent suicide
REXBURG, Idaho (AP) -- An inmate at the Madison County jail died over the weekend and the preliminary investigation indicates it was a suicide.
The sheriff's office says the inmate was found unresponsive at about 3 p.m. Sunday. Efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
The inmate's name and cause of death were not immediately released.
The Tri-County Sheriff's Association is investigating with the help of the Fremont County sheriff's office.
