The Malheur County Sheriff’s Office says Ketra Siuce-Hale, 23, from Ontario, Oregon, is the prime suspect in the killing of a Payette man Monday.

Sheriff Brian Wolfe says investigators were called to a home in the 5000 block of Hyline Road in Ontario about 12:30 Monday morning.

Dispatchers had received a call of a man -– later identified as Mark Rodgers, 26, of Payette -– who had been stabbed at the home. Investigators have not said how many times the victim was stabbed.

Wolfe said the man was transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, where he later died.

Siuce-Hale remains at large.

More details on the investigation are expected to be released during a news conference the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office will hold later this afternoon.
