Boise man arrested for threatening door-to-door salesman with a gun

Boise Police responded to a report of an aggravated assault that took place outside a residence on the 10000 block of West Susan Street on Thursday, Januayr 24th at approximately 4:00 p.m.

The victim, who is a licensed door to door salesman, tells police he approached the suspect's residence and knocked on the door. According to the victim, the suspect opened the door and immediately pointed a handgun at him, yelling and making threats against his life.

According the victim, at one point the suspect came out of the home and grabbed him as he attempted to leave, pointing the gun in his face and making threats.

A co-worker heard the yelling and approached the front of the residence at which time the suspect went back into the home. Responding officers established a perimeter for public safety and the suspect surrendered a short time later without incident.

A handgun was recovered from the home. After a detailed investigation into the incident, the suspect, George S. Silva, 26 of Boise was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
