Sleet on roads cause several slide-offs
Idaho State Police and other local law enforcement agencies are on scene of several slide-offs and crashes on Interstate 84 from Boise to Mountain Home. As of 4:15a.m Thursday January 24, 2013 several vehicles are blocking the eastbound lanes of traffic near milepost 60, just east of Boise.
Eastbound traffic is being diverted off and turned around at the Eisenman Exit (exit 59). Westbound traffic on Interstate 84 just east of Mountain Home, near milepost 100, is backed up for over a mile due to a crash.
Dispatchers told Today's six around 4:30a.m this morning that officals have shut down I-84 starting at exit I-84 to Elmore County because snow plows cannot make it up the hill to clear those roads.
Police are urging folks to stay off the roads if at all possible.
