TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) -- A Twin Falls man has pleaded guilty to aggravated battery after prosecutors said he broke into a home and beat the man inside with a ratchet.

20-year-old Donovan Christopher Jones entered the guilty plea on Tuesday, and in exchange prosecutors agreed to drop a weapons enhancement on the charge and ask for a prison sentence of between four and 10 years.

Police say Jones broke into the home in September and hit the man inside with the ratchet tool until the man began to fight back with a screwdriver.
