Several events on campus will impact traffic and parking on Wednesday, BSU officials said.

Due to the crowd size expected for the Boise State vs. Fresno State game, and the increased number of students on campus for Boise State’s first week of classes, there will be increased traffic congestion along University Drive between Lincoln Avenue and Broadway Avenue, as well as in the parking areas on the east side of campus, from approximately 4:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Find updated parking information at transportation.boisestate.edu or follow them on Twitter @BoiseStateTandP

Campus events for Jan. 23 include:

• Men’s Basketball vs. Fresno State, 6 p.m., at the Taco Bell Arena
• EMBA Open House, at the Stueckle Sky Center
• Idaho Dance Theatre Winter Performance, 8 p.m., at the Special Events Center
• MLK Effecting Change Video Screening, at the Student Union Building

Limited accessible parking will be available in the West Stadium lot on a first-come, first-served basis for $5.

Accessible parking in the Lincoln Avenue Garage also is available on a first-come, first-served basis for $5. The ground floor will be reserved for accessible parking patrons. An accessible-equipped Boise State shuttle will provide transportation to and from the game beginning at 4:30 p.m. until tip-off and again until one hour after the game.

Boise State Accessible permit holders will be able to utilize available, game day, designated accessible parking spaces at no charge with their valid Boise State Accessible permit properly displayed.

All Boise State single-game ticket holders (non donors) should park in the Lincoln Avenue Garage (1607 University Drive) and avoid traffic congestion on Broadway Avenue. The garage can be accessed from Beacon Street or Capitol Boulevard. Accessible-equipped Boise State shuttles will provide transportation to and from the game beginning at 4:30 pm until tip-off and again until one hour after the game from the Lincoln Avenue Garage.

Due to the large amount of traffic following the basketball game, the Boise Police Department, ACHD and additional Boise State security personnel will be assisting with traffic control; however, please drive safely and be patient with your fellow drivers during cold weather conditions.

BSU officials said carpooling and alternative transportation are highly encouraged.
