Utah couple tries to sell heroin in Boise
Authorities in Boise say a Utah couple has been arrested and their 1-month-old child put in state custody after trying to sell a pound of heroin to an undercover police officer.
The Idaho Statesman reports that 25-year-old Jaime Alonso Lopez-Barraza and 21-year-old Kimberly J. Acosta were taken into custody Friday after traveling to Boise to complete the deal. A hometown wasn't provided.
The two are being held in the Ada County Jail and are scheduled to appear in 4th District Court on Tuesday on potential felony drug trafficking charges.
