Canyon County man sentenced after police find 200 child porn pictures on his computer
Canyon County Prosecutor Bryan Taylor announced that Matthew Stevens, 22, of Nampa, was sentenced Monday for possessing sexually exploitative material. Stevens was sentenced to a total of eight years, with first two years fixed. The Court will retain jurisdiction while Stevens attends the Rider program. Stevens is required to register as a sex offender and submit a DNA sample to the Idaho database.
The case began when the Canby Police Department, in Canby, Oregon, provided information to the Nampa Police Department that Stevens may be in possession of sexual images involving children. Detectives contacted Stevens at an address in Nampa.
During their investigation, officers recovered over 200 images from Steven’s computer of sexually exploitative material involving children.
