Section of Greenbelt west of Barber Park to close for repair work
(Boise, ID) – Next week, a section of Greenbelt along the Boise River west of Barber Park and directly downstream of the BUBB Dam, will be closing for repair work.
This closure is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, January 16th, and repairs are expected to take approximately two weeks.
Years of seasonal erosion on the southwest side of the river bank has begun to deteriorate the adjacent Greenbelt pathway in the area, which lies about half-way between S. Eckert Road and E. Parkcenter Blvd. In order to complete the necessary repairs on the trail and river bank, this section of Greenbelt must be closed off, and temporary fencing and signage will mark the closure area.
Prior to the closure, an Open House will be held for interested persons and area residents to learn more about this project. The Open House is scheduled as follows:

Tuesday, January 15th
5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
