BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- A 20-year-old Boise man has been sentenced to up to 20 years in prison for a drunken driving crash in March 2012 that killed two passengers and injured two others.

The sentence Fourth District Judge Lynn Norton gave Cody Olson on Wednesday allows for him to request parole after three years. When he is released, his driver's license will be suspended for ten years and he will have to pay $300,000 in restitution for medical bills.

Olson pleaded guilty to two counts of vehicular manslaughter in November for the deaths of Scott Hyde and Kelsey Belcher, both 18.

Prosecutors said Olson had been drinking and was speeding when his car smashed into a concrete wall. Olson and 19-year-old Nick Hendriksen suffered traumatic brain injuries. Another passenger suffered a collapsed lung and broken bones.
