A standoff with police this afternoon lands a Meridian man behind bars.
Officers responded to a domestic violence call at a home on Tangent lane last night.
They say Christopher Thick strangled his wife while their four kids were in the house and then took off. Police say the standoff began around one this afternoon after he came back to the home. A couple of hours later they were able to use pepper spray to get Thick out of the house.
He's charged with strangulation and domestic violence. Investigators say his wife and kids are safe.
