Ada County handled almost 50 weather-related incidents Monday
Between noon and 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, Ada County Sheriff's emergency dispatchers received reports of 26 crashes with no injuries, 4 crashes with injuries and 17 slide-offs.
"These numbers include all weather-related incidents managed by all agencies within Ada County except Idaho State Police," said Andrea Dearden with the Ada County Sheriff's office. "ISP managed additional reports of weather-related issues on roads within its jurisdiction."
Dearden reminds drivers that temperatures will be below freezing for the next few days, so the roads will likely be icy during many commutes this week.
"Drivers are urged to plan ahead and leave plenty of time to arrive safely at their destination, slow down, keep a safe distance between vehicles and allow plenty of space to stop safely," said Dearden.
