Two-car Oregon crash kills 63-year-old woman

Oregon State Police were called to a crash Sunday morning, Jan. 6 just before 11 a.m., on Highway 207, three miles south of Interstate 84.

"A 2012 Toyota Tacoma pickup driven by a 63-year old woman was northbound on Highway 207 near milepost 16 when it began to pass a northbound 1998 International flatbed truck attempting to make a left turn," said OSP. "The Toyota pickup returned into the northbound lane and crashed into the back of the flatbed truck that was traveling at a slow speed beginning the left turn."

The Toyota's driver was pronounced dead at the scene. According to Oregon State Police, she was wearing her seatbelt and her pickup's airbags deployed.

The two occupants of the International flatbed truck were not injured. They were identified as Scott Madison, 55, and Kattie Pettyjohn, 45, both from Echo, Oregon. Both were wearing their seatbelts.
