2 sisters killed in Thursday crash near Sand Hollow
CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) -- Authorities say a 17-year-old girl and her younger sister have died after their vehicle collided with a manure truck in southwestern Idaho.
Police say the crash occurred about 4:20 p.m. Thursday on Old Highway 30 and Farmway Road near Caldwell.
Canyon County Coroner Vicki DeGeus-Morris says the age of the younger sister is 6 or 7. An 11-year-old sister was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
Idaho State Police say the 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass had three occupants when the crash happened. The driver of the manure truck wasn't injured.
Names of the girls who died haven't been released.
