Both Sen. Risch and Sen. Crapo voted "yea" on the Fiscal Cliff vote that went through the Senate Monday night (only five senators voted "nay" on the measure). Today, they issued a joint statement.

"The compromise that we supported protects 99-percent of all Idahoans from a tax increase and also protects the vast majority of our farm families from a permanent tax increase," Risch and Crapo said in their statement. "This is a victory for working Idahoans, but we must now be very aggressive in finding appropriate spending reductions."

The current version of the Fiscal Cliff compromise is currently being looked at by the United State House of Representatives.
