Caldwell man dies after being hit by train Tuesday morning
A Caldwell man was killed on the train tracks near Kimball early Tuesday morning, according to the Caldwell Police Department. On Jan. 1, 2013, around 6:30 a.m., Caldwell Police Officers were called to a report of a man hit by a train.
"Union Pacific notified Police of a man who had stepped out in front of the train near Kimball & the railroad tracks," said Sgt. Joey Hoadley with the Caldwell Police Department. "Once in the area, they located the man near 4th Ave."
The 58-year-old male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. According to Hoadley, his name will not be released until next of kin has been notified.
