Subway restaurant in Idaho Falls robbed at gunpoint through drive-thru window
Idaho Falls Police were called to a report of an armed robbery that occurred at the Subway Restaurant on East 17th Street Sunday night.
"According to reports, two restaurant employees reported that around 8:17 p.m. a man in a white Chevrolet Impala ordered a sandwich in the restaurant’s drive thru," according to the Idaho Falls Police Department. "The man, wearing a black ski mask, drove to the drive thru window and pointed a rifle at them. As the employees attempted to back away and call 911, the man pushed the drive through window open and yelled at them to come back up front or he would shoot. He demanded the cash from the registers."
The employees complied and emptied the two cash registers. The suspect then left the restaurant. Officers later found the car on the 500 block of North Fanning, which was later determined to have been stolen.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding this robbery to contact the Idaho Falls Police Department at 529-1200 or Crimestoppers at 522-1983.
