Boise man arrested for pulling knife on friend while drinking
Boise Police responded to a report of a disturbance at a hotel on the 2600 block of West Fairview Avenue Wednesday night, Dec. 26, just before midnight. When police arrived, they located a "distraught" adult female victim near the lobby of the hotel.
"The victim tells police she had been staying at the hotel with the suspect, who is well known to her, and consuming alcoholic beverages," said Charles McClure with the Boise Police Department. "At one point, the victim tells police the suspect became aggressive, while holding a folding knife the suspect made threats against her life and then attempted to stab her."
The woman told police that she managed to get out of the room and waited for police to arrive. They found the pocket knife on the suspect. Officers believe alcohol was a factor.
Thomas L. Herman, 55 of Boise, was arrested for felony aggravated assault.
