Humane Society says puppy stolen from shelter
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- The Oregon Humane Society says a 3-pound puppy a family was ready to adopt from its shelter in Portland has been stolen from a locked kennel.
The dog is a reddish-brown Chihuahua-Pomeranian. The Humane Society says the puppy was stolen late Saturday afternoon, minutes before the family was going to pick it up.
The Humane Society is offering a $500 reward for information. It says it fears the thief will try to sell the dog.
