Bogus Basin to open Friday
Enough snow has arrived at Bogus for a 2012-13 season opening day on Friday, Dec. 21!
"Recent storms will allow for a limited opening with Deer Point (#1), Morning Star (#2), Showcase (#4), Pine Creek (#6), Coach (#7) lifts and both moving carpets running," said the ski resort.

“It is early season conditions and some trails are inaccessible due to the high winds we had over the last couple of days,” said Alan Moore, General Manager. “We are excited to open up for our 70th year and our volunteer board and association welcome everyone up for another great year of affordable recreation and education on the community’s mountain.”
Operating hours for Friday will be 9:00am-4:30pm. Day tickets will be discounted to $30 until more of the mountain opens. The Nordic center will also be open.
"We will open nights, additional terrain and the Pepsi GoldRush Tubing hill as soon as conditions allow," said Moore.

During the 2011-2012 skiing, the mountain didn't open for skiing on Jan. 19.
