On Dec. 14, KTSY and Albertson's held a campaign to encourage their guests to make a donation for the purchase of turkeys for the benefit of the Boise Rescue Mission. The turkeys will be part of a larger celebration hosted by the Rescue Mission that will serve over 3,600 meals later this week.

"The drive was held at four select Albertson's stores in the Treasure Valley," said the company. "Because Albertsons guests and team members know how important it is for all Boise families to have a chance to share a good meal together during the merriest of seasons."

Tuesday morning, Dec. 18, Albertson's delivered around 650 turkeys to the Boise Rescue Mission, successfully collected during the benefit.

“Our guests saw the opportunity to help others in their community who are struggling and we’re thankful for their generosity,” Albertsons Intermountain West Division President Mike Clawson said.
