Boise State to offer online MBA program
Boise State University has announced today that, beginning fall 2013, the university will offer a new online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. The State Board of Education approved the new program Thursday.
The new online MBA will provide access for students who cannot attend courses on campus. It will be offered in addition to Boise State’s unique full-time MBA program, a part-time evening MBA program for working professionals, and an Executive MBA program.
“The online MBA program will provide high-quality graduate education for a new segment of students,” said Boise State Provost Martin Schimpf. “Boise State is committed to expanding access of programs in order to better serve the needs of Idaho citizens and the business community.”
According to Boise State, the online MBA program will be self-supporting; no state appropriated funds will be used.
“Academic Partnerships provides a world-class level of service for potential students and Treasure Valley students will benefit from the company’s experience in other markets,” said College of Business and Economics Dean Patrick Shannon.
All of Boise State’s graduate business degrees are accredited by the international Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Boise State’s is the only graduate business program in the Treasure Valley to achieve this distinction.
Enrollment in the online MBA will begin in late spring 2013, and classes will start in August 2013. For more information about the college and its programs, visit http://cobe.boisestate.edu.
