This Saturday night is the 10th annual concert for cause at the Knitting Factory -- sponsored by our sister radio station 94.9 the River.

“We have people who have been coming to every single one of these for 10 years,” said Tim Johnston, music director with 94.9 the River. “It’s something that they look forward to and something that they bring their kids to now as a way of emphasizing the importance of the holiday season and the fact that not only do you get to have a lot of fun at a show, but you may end up purchasing some items through the live auction or the silent auction which will be going to go a long ways to make somebody’s holiday a little bit better.”

Some of those auction items include rock and roll memorabilia and even a football autographed by Kellen Moore.

Blind Pilot will be the headline act. Proceeds will benefit the Women's and Children's Alliance.

Tickets for Concert for Cause are available through Ticketfly.com, at the Record Exchange or at the Knitting Factory’s website.
