Brundage Mountain officials will open the entire mountain Friday, thanks to recent snowfall.

Eight inches of fresh powder fell between Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon, giving Brundage 17 inches of fresh snow this week.

Brundage Mountain has 68” of snow on the summit and approximately 18” of packed snow in the base area.

“That extra blast of snow means that all 1,500 acres of terrain will be open starting Friday, December 14. All of the primary runs have been groomed. Some secondary runs will be left ungroomed for powder lovers to enjoy,” said resort spokesperson April Russell.

“I think our visitors are going to be really impressed with the amount of powder on the mountain,” she added. “Forecasters are calling for another six to ten inches Saturday night and Sunday, so the news up here just gets better and better.”

Brundage plans to run the Blue Bird Quad, Lakeview Lift, Bear Chair and Easy Street lifts and to offer all regular mountain services. Lifts will run from 9:30 to 4:30 daily.

Early season conditions exist on the lowest parts of the mountain.
“Lift tickets will be regular price, but anyone who purchases an all-mountain lift ticket opening weekend will receive a coupon for $15 off a future visit,” Russell said.
