31-year-old Boise man arrested after allegedly attempting to solicit teen for sex over the Internet
31-year-old Randy Wade Standlee, of Boise, was arrested Wednesday night for allegedly attempting to solicit sex from a teen he met over the Internet.
According to Captain Scott Johnson, Standlee arrived at a convenience store on the Boise Bench Wednesday night around 6 p.m. to meet a 13-year-old he thought he had been chatting with. The person he thought was the teen turned out to be an Ada County Sheriff's deputy.
The Sheriff's office was working in conjunction with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force on the case.
Standlee was arrested on charges of sexual enticement of a minor over the Internet, which is punishable by up to 15 years in prison. If convicted, Standlee would also have to register as a sex offender.
