Idaho Humane Society to hold holiday event Saturday, offer discounts on all animals
Just in time for the holidays, this Saturday, Dec. 15, the Idaho Humane Society will host its annual 12 Strays/Holiday Adopt-A-Thon.
According to Hannah Parpart with the IHS, the shelter will have reduced adoption fees on all animals. All cats and kittens will be $25 to adopt and all dogs and puppies will have 25 percent off their regular adoption fees.
"At the shelter, Santa will be making an appearance from noon to 2 p.m. to take photos with you, your children or your pet," said Parpart. "There will be cookies and hot cocoa available! Plus, special sales in our gift shop, See Spot Shop, and prize drawings. Joel Lund, author of Watson’s Way, and Mandy Wood, author of My First Puppy, will both be signing copies of their books from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m."
Reduced fees will apply all day Saturday, both at the IHS main shelter on Dorman St. and the IHS PetSmart Adoption Center on Milwaukee.
