29-year-old Boise woman arrested for abandoning infant
On Dec. 2, Boise Police received a report of an abandoned infant at a home in Boise.
"The calling party tells police the suspect, who is known to her, abandoned the infant in a bedroom of her home during an overnight stay on that date," said Charles McClure with the Boise Police Department. "The suspect did not tell the calling party she was leaving the child, who spent the night alone in the room with no care."
The suspect, Sara. D. Ball, 29 of Boise, did not leave diapers or food, and, according to police, has refused to pick the child up or provide care for them.
The child has been turned over to the custody of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Monday, Dec. 10, Ball turned herself in and was arrested on a Felony charge of Desertion or Nonsupport of a Child.
