Bellevue woman dies in weekend crash on I-84
On Saturday, Dec. 8, around 8:15 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a fatal rollover crash on I-84, east of the Juniper Rest Area.
Michael Woodall, 54 of Bellevue, was traveling eastbound when he attempted to change lanes to pass a slower moving vehicle. According to ISP, Woodall lost control of his truck, traveled off the left shoulder of the road and overturned in the median.
Woodall and his 11-year-old daughter were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated. Rosa Woodall, 44 of Bellevue, was transported via air ambulance to McCady Hospital in Ogden Utah but died from her injuries on the way to the hospital.
Three other juvenile passengers in the truck were transported to Cassia Regional Medical Center by ground ambulance.
According to ISP, Michael Woodall was the only occupant wearing a seatbelt.
