Idaho kidnapping suspect faces 4 felony charges in North Dakota
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- An Idaho kidnapping suspect who was arrested in Bismarck now faces four charges in North Dakota.
Fifty-seven-year-old Mitchell Walck appeared in court Thursday on felony charges of terrorizing, unlawful entry to a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Judge Sonna Anderson ordered him held without bond. He requested a public defender.
Walck was arrested on Wednesday after authorities say he pulled a gun on a truck driver whose sleeper cab he had entered and then fled. Officer who chased him found him hiding under a tree.
Walck is a suspect in a case in which a Rathdrum, Idaho, woman was kidnapped from her home at gunpoint on Saturday and released unharmed a day later in Glendive, Mont.
