Mitchell Lee Walck, wanted for questioning for allegedly shooting at an Idaho State Police trooper, fleeing the scene, and then later kidnapping a woman, has been arrested.

He was taken into custody in Bismarck, North Dakota, Wednesday morning.

The Bismarck Police Department received a call from a citizen reporting that someone had broken into his semi-truck. The victim told police that, while the semi truck was parked unattended, a man entered his truck and was in the sleeper cab. When the victim entered his truck, the suspect pulled a gun on him and ran away.

After a short foot chase, police were able to take the suspect into custody. He was later identified as Mitchell Lee Walck.

Walck is currently facing several charges in North Dakota including the assault with a firearm, being a felon in possession of a firearm, eluding, and unlawful entry. He was also arrested on a kidnapping warrant from Kootenai County.

The stolen Subaru belonging to the kidnapping victim, Susan Smith, was recovered in the area as well, police said.
