Man who allegedly solicited men to rape his wife through Craigslist rejects plea
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) -- The trial for a man charged with soliciting other men to rape his wife is being delayed after the man rejected a plea agreement.
The 32-year-old Twin Falls man appeared in 5th District Court Monday for a pretrial conference. He is charged with solicitation of both rape and burglary by placing an ad on Craigslist seeking men to attack his wife in her home.
During Monday's hearing, defense attorney Lynn Dunlap asked that the trial be delayed. It had been scheduled to start next week.
The Times-News reports Dunlap told the judge the defense rejected a plea agreement calling for a 10- to 15-year prison sentence.
Prosecutors said that would likely be the only offer. The trial is now scheduled to start March 12.
