Boise travel agencies forecast brisk business despite Broncos third straight Vegas-bound postseason plans
Travel agents in Boise, Monday, booked Bronco fans itineraries to Las Vegas one more time.
"People are excited the fact that the game ended up on a Saturday this year rather than a mid-week day," Bob Harmon, the owner of Boise's Harmon Travel said. "So, they'll take a weekend in Vegas prior to Christmas."
Sunday's official invite from the MAACO Bowl marks the third consecutive year Coach Pete and his squad descend on Sin City to cap off their season.
It's the first bowl trip for fan Carol Parisi.
"I've been here five years going on six and I really feel like a Bronco fan and I want to root for the home team," Parisi said.
One BSU student we spoke with won't attend the game in Vegas. He doesn't want to go to Las Vegas again.
"They should mix it up a little bit," Alex Mark said. "Juniors having the bowl game in Vegas for three years, its definitely a downer for them."
Despite a similar postseason itinerary for the Broncos and their fans, Harmon Travel is optimistic about business. Only two hours after the travel agency opened Monday, it sold eight of its 12 premium travel packages.
