For part of Bronco Nation, Boise State's victory in Reno helps ease pain of crushing 2010 defeat
"This has been eating at us for the last two years," Bronco fan Christian Varga said as he drank a victory beer at Nampa's Buffalo Wild Wings Saturday. "We needed this."
Boise State's 27 - 21 win on the road against Nevada in Reno Saturday helps ease the pain for much of Bronco Nation as they remember that bitter defeat in Reno two years back.
"The beer's going down good and this win's going down even better," Varga said. "This is a good Christmas present right here."
The Broncos victory is a nice gift for Justin Hopper who watched the 2010 contest in Reno at Basic Trainning in Oklahoma.
"It's great," Hopper said. "To really get back at the people who spoil our dreams time and time again, they're the ones that are always a pain in our side. Revenge is all we ever need against Nevada."
With the win Saturday, the Broncos clinched a share of the Mountain West title with San Diego St. and Fresno St. The team now awaits to find out their 2012 bowl destination Sunday.
Boise State is likely Macco Bowl bound in Las Vegas for the third consecutive year.
