Three men arrested for allegedly breaking into multiple cars overnight
Boise Police responded to a report of a vehicle burglary that had just taken place in a parking near South Latah and West Alpine Streets early Friday morning, Nov. 30, around 3:00 a.m.
The citizen who made the call told police he witnessed three suspects arrive in a vehicle and check the doors on several vehicles in the parking lot. According to the witness, the suspects managed to enter the last vehicle in the parking lot and rummaged through the car. When officers arrived the suspects had fled the scene.
"A short time later officers received a report of another vehicle burglary in progress on the 800 block of Maple Grove," said Charles McClure with Boise Police. "The witness in this incident was able to provide dispatch with detailed vehicle information. Officers located the vehicle Northbound on Maple Grove and conducted a traffic stop."
The driver, Samuel J. Terry, 21 of Star, appeared drunk and was given two sobriety tests. He blew .17 and .17 on the tests and was arrested. A search of the vehicle revealed the items taken in the burglary and all three men in the car were arrested.
Terry was charged with Felony Burglary, Driving Under the Influence and Probation Violation charges. Chase B. Erickson, 21 of Eagle, and Dylan C. Reeder, 21 of Eagle, were both charged with Felony Burglary.
