Children at St. Luke's Hospital got a special treat on Thursday, a surprise visit from a Disney Princess!

Rapunzel from the Disney movie ‘Tangled,’ showed up at the hospital. Many parents told us their children will be talking about this surprise event for weeks.

When the Disney Princess stepped into the hospital, many children couldn't believe their eyes. She played with some kids in the playroom. Then, she went door-to-door for a personal visit.

"It gives them a break up from the day at the hospital, maybe getting shots or surgery. It gives them the chance to see a princess and just have fun for the day," said Kyle Smith, a Disney-on-Ice performer.

The girls got princess crowns, combs, dolls and more goodies. Some even got a little bling - a special necklace from Rapunzel!

Bringing the adventures of Disney movies to life, Rapunzel also played a game with the children to find her best friend Pascal. "We’re trying to find Pascal, hide-and-go-seek with Rapunzel,” said Smith.

The Disney princess also talked about encouraging children to believe in their dreams, no matter what, even if they don’t feel well or are in the hospital.

The ‘Disney on Ice’ performance in the Taco Bell Arena delivered the same message with the title, ‘Dare to Dream.’

The performers told us they hoped to give children, who won't be able to attend a show like, the ‘Disney on Ice,’ the same magical experience to remember.
